Do Liberals Hate Democracy When It Stops Working For Them?

I’m referring to the gay marriage votes in Colorado and North Carolina. We the People voted gay marriage down. Do liberals begin to hate something as soon as it stops working for them?
My state is being labled.
” Bigotted ”
” Afraid ”
” Ignorant ”
If gay marriage was legalalized my state would be called
” intelligent ” and ” evolved ”
Some liberals are even trying to change the location of the Democratic National Convention, this year its in NC, but now North Carolina is too ” Bigotted ” and ” afraid of change ”
In a Democrat world, do people have the right to vote?

yes they are willing to give up freedom if the world would just accept their weakness and sexual perversions. They want to pretend they do not know right from wrong. they want to act Just like a psychopath and then say. Its not our fault we were born that way.

“Democrats that hate democracy” sounds kind of oxymoron. If you have the right to be opposed to homosexuality them what is wrong with liberals defending it? They’re not stopping democracy, just saying what other people are doing is wrong, or voicing their opinion which is part of democracy.

Yes. Look at prop 8. They only champion “freedom” when it benefits them. If it’s at the expense of everyone else’s freedom then that’s good in their view because everyone else is seen as the oppressor. “Tyranny of the majority”….you have to completely ignore history and reject reality to think that a small fraction of the populations making decision for everyone is a good thing.

I believe that the country should legalize it. F*ck small government, it is time to pass a law. If this video does not change one mind, then I will never post on Yahoo! Answers again.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR9gyloyO…

Note how no one trashed the democratic system, only said your state was filled with idiots. They aren’t the same thing, and by asking this question you’re only proving their point.

The Convention will not move. We will help their economy and turn it into a Democratic win, thereafter, we will abandon the bigots for four more years.

Keep the story straight! The people who want the DNC convention moved are unions because NC is a right to work state!Which makes it an anti-union state!

It’s rather simple, if marriage is a civil right, or a human right then it cannot be undermined by a state law. That’s why slavery was deemed illegal, even if some states allowed for it in their laws. No matter how many people of the state didn’t want an end to it. If we are going to declare that “all men are created equal”, we can’t write laws that say that some are more equal than others. A state can write laws that concern the suitability for marriage, as in age and nearness of blood relationship, that relates to possible costs to society if there are hereditary diseases and with age because of capability of consent. But prohibiting two consenting, unrelated adults from marrying is a particular condition that is unreasonable, except for either religious reasons, or dictionary reasons. And that’s not what we base laws on here.

Do liberals “hate democracy” when it goes against them MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE, you mean? No. I don’t think so. We all seem to love to play by the rules — when the rules favor us. But if not — not. Can’t imagine liberals are any more hypocritical in this way than anyone else. I think you may have a valid point about the reaction by gay marriage activists against the Colorado and NC votes, however. Of course, if North Carolina has a political right to vote against gay marriage, it’s only fair that gay marriage advocates have a right to call for a boycott of NC. “What’s sauce for the goose” and all that. As for whether NC is “bigoted” .. I can’t say, But the last time I visited the state in about 1979, it was to protest against the Ku Klux Klan shooting and killing some rather stupid leftwing extremists down there. At the time of the Klan shootings, NC didn’t seem like a hotbed of racial & religious toleration, somehow. I hope y’all have changed since then.
