Is Capitalism More Important Than Democracy?

i am from north carolina. most of the manufacturing jobs here were outsourced to save the owners money in labor and from environmental regulations. they simply moved to countries with no minimum wage or o.s.h.a.
do you think that the original employees would have voted to ship their jobs away?

Democracy is a political system, Capitalism is an economic system. One is not more important than the other. However a political system that allowed no capitalism or private enterprise would not save your job. It would have insured you never had a job or decent standard of living in the first place. It’s not perfect, and its inherent inefficiencies can be devastating to those caught up in the latest shift. That is why a decent social safety net is important. But capitalism produces more wealth, more jobs, more goods and services, more choices and more innovation than any other system.

Yes. Capitalism is more important than democracy. Democracy sucks. It’s tyranny by majority. And maybe if our gobblement didn’t regulate the crap out of the private sector and tax the hell out of it, companies wouldn’t try to outsource as much. Also, if the government stays strictly withing its constitutional limits, what we have IS capitalism. And corporatism isn’t constitutional either. It requires government force for benefit of big corporations. CAPITALISM is what this country is supposed to be.

You may thank Congress for the outscorcing. Indeed, you can thank Congress for all that is wrong with our economy and the nation at this moment. Both parties and both chambers. Free trade is a misnomer invented by politicians that means nothing but mo’ money, and mo’ money by those same politicians and business. Most of you may not remember, but, there was a time when “American made” meant something and other nations worked hard to acquire American products. Thanks to unions, Congress, and bribes that has gone away. It is time to destroy all those in COngress now and start over with the constitution and term limits.

No, I think the original employees would want nothing more than their jobs to remain intact. And you’d think that our representatives would think the same. But they’re not looking out just for employees of American manufacturing. They are looking out for everyone in the US. The number of people losing their jobs overseas is far fewer than the number of people who benefit from cheaper goods overseas. Cheaper goods takes A LOT of pressure off of lower and middle classes. It makes economic sense, but this policy is not without its losers.

obama signed a bill that will not let them cut down tree’s in oregon, hundreds of people out of buisness and thousands out of work from the drivers to the mill workers, he seemed not to care that they replant the trees sytematicly so everything goes around in a cycle, that means he does not care about American small buisness, he is a liar and will wreck this country if we let him, make your vote count just like they did with all their first time voters that they picked up and drove to voying booths, please don’t give up on your country.

I will take a social democracy like Finland and Sweden and Belgium and Holland and Denmark and try it in North Carolina as an experiment. Watch out for an increase in population as the entire United States moves there!

Capitalism is worthless. By it’s definition, it’s ok to have more money than you’ll ever need while people all over the planet starve to death. More proof that greasy pro lifer christian conservative scum aren’t really pro life after all.
