LENOIR, NC (WBTV) -

Police in Lenoir have two people in custody after a search of an apartment Tuesday night turned up large amounts of cocaine.

The offenders Marcus Justin Bowers and Ashley Friend Laws who resided at the apartment on the 1200 block of Spainhour Street were charged with Possession with intent to distribute and simple possession of a controlled substance. 

The total amount seized was 17.4 grams of crack cocaine along with prescription medications and a small amount of cash. 

The bond for Mr. Bowers has been set at $50,000, while Laws is being held on only $1,000 secure bond for the simple possession. 

Bowers will be in court on the felony drug charges on April 11th, 2013.
