Why Are The Voters More Important In North Carolina Than In Indiana And West Virginia?

Hillary won Indiana and will win in West Virginia and Kentucky. But all the media can talk about is Obama’s win in North Carolina. Why is the voters in North Carolina so much more important than these three other States?
The media has been particularily petty about West Virginia saying the vote does not count for nothing. Why?

It’s not a matter of voters being more or less important. It happens every primary season that some contests get more attention and carry more wieght than others. Look at the Republican “race”…. the late contests mean nothing with regard to deciding the nominee, right? The issue between Indiana and N. Carolina is that Clinton squeaked out a win there (<2%) and Obama ran away with N. Carolina (> 10%). This primary day likely marked Clinton’s final chance to extend her chance to win the nomination. At this point Clinton can win neither the popular vote nor the delegate count. AND, the Supers are moving to Obama as well. In most seasons none of these late races would really impact the nominee decision because the front runner would have collected the 2025 needed to secure the nomination.

Because the pundits said so. Hillary has to stop, otherwise she might win the popular vote. What a horrible thought, then she still has to lose the nomination and so she becomes like Al Gore!

It’s not the media it’s the math. Hilary will never catch up with Obama, I hear what Hilary’s supporters say about being a close race. She is looking for a Hail Mary that wont happen.

The media is downplaying WV because they think Obama will lose…Obama is the darling of the media…remember. Interesting that WV won the Presidency for Kennedy. Guess that proves Obama is NOT the John Kennedy that they are peddling to the general public! NC and SC went for Bush in 2000 and 2004!http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Cl…

each of the obama bots that answered here should be reported for not answering your question. They always do the “hillary this and mccain that answers” now matter what was asked. I agree with you. just like obama wont campaign in WV or KY because he says hillary has those states. doesnt matter who has them, if you care about the american people you will campaign in each state equally as you will need those people if you plan on winning the GE. Obamas arrogance is what will cost him the GE. just a fact that that elitist cant seem to understand he preaches unity but cant campaign in the style of unity. he is a typical politician. google “obama buys super delegates” and see how he has BOUGHT the vote of the supers that have choose him.

They are no less important in the general sense, but the majority of votes in West Va, may be for a candidate who will not be able to win the nomination. How many states fell under this category when John McCain was chosen so early on in the process?

The media is pushing for a candidate that will lose big on the general elections. He’s too controversial and the majority of Americans do not like Hume regardless of what the media wants us to believe. Are you ready for Socialism in America? Obama represents that option.

the dont have but a few delegates. obama has already acknowledged clinton will win, WVA is still considered backwards by most, i do not hold that opion, but the same has been said about NC. the media were frenzied by clinton, she was trying to get support here, didnt work. it proves that our state is no longer a majority of uneducated rednecks. WVA has a chance to prove it too. just say no to clinton.

Because North Carolina is a big state and Hillary says Obama can’t win big states. She barely won Indiana. West Virginia is a small state but because it is likely a Hillary win it is a big swing state. Her ridiculous statements are why. Obama has as much applicable experience as she has. He is electable but she will say he’s not depending on what day it is. She can’t just say anything and not get called on it.

Because of the big delegate count, so Hillary lost… GET OVER IT… Her campaign is an example of the fouled up way she handles things. Not presidential at all….. Obama 08
