Will The Russian Suspension Of Us Pork Products Cause Massive Job Loss?

Russia has suspended US pork products due to high levels of the antibiotic oxytetracycline in the meat. Plants in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Iowa and North Carolina will be affected. Russia is the worlds fourth largest buyer of US pork. Will this cause massive job loses? Will US consumers buy extra pork to make up the difference? Why are they using a powerful tetracycline-type antibiotic in pigs anyway?…

The US Food industry has been poisoning us for years. The rest of the world won’t accept it. You think the Russian people won’t rise up and kick their government in the butt if they allowed this tainted pork into their country? You bet they will. We are too sedated from the Pharmaceutical industry pumping us with anti-depressants and other medications to rise up and protect ourselves from this poisonous food. Don’t think eating fruits are better. Apples and Oranges contain high levels of pesticides that cause birth defects, cancers and sexual dysfunction. The FDA and the USDA have been castrated by the Washington politicians who are in the pockets of the corporate food giants. Everyone from McCain to Palin are on the payroll. Our democracy sucks.

Probably because the disgusting factory farm conditions are so filthy and hazardous that the only way a pig could survive is to be pumped full of antibiotics. The use of antibiotics in this way is one of the contributors to why dangerous bacteria are getting more and more resistant. If you want to know what goes on in America’s pork industry you will be interested in this, it is both gross and horrifying in an amusing way…

They have to use those drugs so avoid massive lawsuits if any illness is caused by their products. Another reason we need tort reform in the USA. Do you know no other country does it this way? In England for instance, if you sue someone and loose you have to pay their costs. *

Let Russia eat wheat, barley and potatoes. The time is now for America to stop feeding the world. When the rest of the world gets hungry enough they will shut up about how bad they think American food production practices are… America isn’t the villain we are made out to be by EU second world bystanders and third worlders. Climatic and geographic factors limit Russia’s agricultural activity to about 10 percent of the country’s total land area. 60% of that land produces wheat. Barley is second to wheat in gross yield. The Russian potato is in danger…Potatoes of the Moscow Region appear to suffer from a dangerous virus – this fact may lead to quarantine and total export banning for this vegetable. Let Russia eat wheat, barley and unexportable potatoes.

Possibly but if that fails, we can count on Obama to take up the slack.
